What to Expect, Plainly
No small print games. These are the things worth agreeing on before we touch your car — written so you can actually read them.
1Clear your personal belongings
Please take anything you care about out of the vehicle before we arrive — that includes money, sunglasses, chargers, paperwork, garage remotes and anything in the glovebox or centre console.
We can't be responsible for items left in the vehicle. Loose rubbish in footwells, door pockets and under seats gets cleared out as part of the clean, so if something matters to you, take it with you first.
Child seats: we're happy to work around them, but we won't remove or refit one — that's on you.
2Damage that was already there
We photograph the vehicle before we start. Scratches, stone chips, dents, cracked or faded trim, torn seats, worn carpet and existing stains are recorded before any work begins, and they're not our responsibility.
Detailing sometimes makes existing damage easier to see — a clean panel shows a scratch that dirt was hiding. That isn't new damage.
If we do damage something, we'll tell you before you notice it and we'll put it right. That's the whole basis of how we work.
3What cleaning can and can't fix
Cleaning has limits, and we'd rather say so now than at the end. Stains that have set into fabric, odours soaked into padding and foam, sun-faded or perished trim, and scratches in paint may not come out.
We don't do paint correction, polishing or buffing, so swirl marks and scratches will still be there afterwards.
We'll look at the vehicle and tell you honestly what we expect to achieve before we start. If we don't think it's worth your money, we'll say that too.
4What we need on the day
We come to you, so we need safe, legal access to the vehicle with enough room to work around it — a driveway or private parking is ideal.
Access to water and an outdoor power outlet makes the job possible. If you're not sure what you've got, tell us when we're arranging it and we'll work it out together.
If we arrive and can't work — no access, no water, the vehicle isn't there, or the weather makes it unsafe — we'll rearrange for another day.
5Changing or cancelling
There's no deposit and no cancellation fee. Text as early as you can and we'll move you to another day, no problem.
If we turn up and nobody's there, or the vehicle isn't accessible, we'll need to rebook — and we'd appreciate a heads-up rather than a wasted trip.
We'll do the same for you. If we ever have to move an appointment, you'll hear it from us as early as we know.
6Paying
Payment is due on completion, before we leave. Card, cash and the major mobile payment apps are all fine.
We walk round the vehicle with you first. If something isn't right, we fix it there and then — you pay when you're happy with it.
The price we quote is the price you pay. If we find something on the day that genuinely changes the work involved, we'll stop and talk to you about it before doing anything.
7How long it takes
Times we give are estimates, not guarantees. Condition matters far more than size — a neglected small car can take longer than a tidy large one.
If a vehicle turns out to be in worse shape than expected, it takes longer. We'd rather finish it properly than rush to hit a number we guessed at.
8Photos of your vehicle
We photograph our work, and we may share those photos on our website and social media. It's how a small business shows what it does.
Number plates are never shown, and we don't publish anything that identifies you or where you live.
If you'd rather we didn't share photos of your vehicle at all, just say so — that's completely fine and we won't ask why.
Anything here you'd want changed?
Say so before we book you in and we'll talk it through. We'd rather sort it out up front than have you find something you didn't expect on the day.
